    How to read it

    • The dial is your day, midnight at the top, going clockwise. Each ring is one market. A bright arc means that market is open right now. A dim arc is a session later or earlier today. Markets whose hours do not overlap share a ring, and every bar has its market's name written in it. If a market has two bars with a gap between them (Tokyo, Shanghai, Singapore), the gap is its lunch break.
    • The silver hand is the time now. Point at a market in the list to light up its ring.
    • Opening hours are stored in each exchange's own local time and zone, then converted for you. That is why the New York open moves by an hour in your time when the US changes its clocks, and why London and New York overlap for a different length of time for a week or two in spring and autumn, when the US and the UK change on different dates. A warning appears on a market two to three weeks before its clocks change.
    • The rings run from the biggest markets on the outside to the smallest in the middle (by total value of listed companies, roughly). Only the regular trading session is shown, not pre-market or after-hours.
    • Not included yet: exchange holidays and early closing days (for example Moscow is closed on 4 November). Moscow's evening and weekend sessions are not shown either. The clock shows Monday to Friday only, so on a public holiday a market may be closed when the clock shows it open. Check the exchange before you plan a trade around it.
    • Crypto trades around the clock, which is why it has its own full ring. Quiet hours still exist in practice: volume is usually thinner when the big stock markets are closed.
